Urban Cottage is located in
Mt Victoria, a short walk to the central business district and on
the doorstep of Wellington's entertainment district. Mt Victoria is
a residential suburb in the heart of Wellington city and the Waterfront.
- Courtenay Place is a 5 minute walk. Here you will find
the bus station and taxi stand, New World grocery supermarket,
banks and cash machines, shopping, entertainment, restaurants,
live theatre and movies.
- Oriental Bay and Waitangi Park are
a 10 minute walk. Here you will find the National Museum Te Papa
Tongarewa, safe swimming beach, wide open grassy spaces, fantastic
skate and children's park, public indoor swimming pool and gym,
waterfront cafes and marina.
- Via Courtenay Place the central business district is
a 10 minute walk.
- Parliament, TSB Arena, the Wellington Railway Station, Dominion
Post local and Bluebridge Interisland ferries, and Westpac Stadium
are an easy 15 -20 minute walk via the central business district
or along the Waterfront.
Transport
- Urban Cottage to Wellington International Airport is a 10 minute
drive by car. It will cost approximately $15-20 to travel by taxi
to the airport and $3.50 by bus.
- Urban Cottage to central business district, Railway station,
ferries and Westpac Stadium. It will cost $1.50 by bus to get
to all these destinations or $5 for an all day pass. A taxi fare
will range from $8-12.
